  • Opt for a comfortable two-piece outfit for ease during the procedure.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for any required paperwork.

  • Upon arrival, a staff member will guide you through the process and provide instructions. You may need to change into a gown.
  • During the scan, your breast tissue will be placed on a flat plate and gently compressed with a paddle. This ensures clearer images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Some minor discomfort may be experienced during compression, but it is brief and ends once the images are captured.

Afterward, the images will be reviewed by a specialist radiologist, who will prepare a report for your referring doctor.
